Covid Origin? Endless Possibilities

Sars Cov-2 has a low statistical likelihood of coming solely from nature. It is probably not a deliberate bio attack. However, new evidence indicates this virus was originally found over 1000 miles away from Wuhan. There were no cases in between. It’s closest natural relative was also found in bat species that are not found near Wuhan. It is most likely that the virus was brought to the lab (2013) and altered to give it gain of function (GOF). Gain-of-function research involves experimentation that aims or is expected to (and/or, perhaps, actually does) increase the transmissibility and/or virulence of pathogens. In this case to give it higher transmission capabilities. The grant objectives called for giving it the ability to move between members of our species.

Background

In 2011, Dr Anthony Fauci had described gain of function as a risk worth taking. He told the Washington Post “Important information and insights can come from generating a potentially dangerous virus in the laboratory.” Obama signed a moretorium in 2014 that applied to any funding of gain of function research (future or existing projects). The National institute of Allergy and Infectious (NIAID) carried on with this research after the ban. The ban was lifted in 2017, but projects such as this had to go through a secret panel for “potential pandemic pathogens.” This secret panel approved two projects for gain of function research, one of which was this NIAID project. So there was essentially no stop to gain of function research pertaining to Sars-like viruses. Millions of dollars were still poured into this project during the moratorium.

The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions

If Covid-19 was developed in a lab, one can see the benefits of doing so. It would provide researchers the oportunity to test develope and test vaccines if an epedemic should ever occur. Gain of Function grant money was given to Eco Health Alliance Inc. This operation is headed by English Zoologist Peter Daszak. He discovered the original Sars outbreak back in the early 2000s’. Daszak and his team researched bat populations on site to trace the origins and progressions of outbreaks. He was a perfect candidate for a research grant to explore if a Sars-like virus could become more contaigous and more easily jump between species.

Eco Health Alliance then gave funding to Shi Zhengli and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Shi had contributed greatly to research into the origin of the original Sars breakout in the early 2000s. She was a perfect candidate for this work as she was one of the few people still researching bat viruses in 2012-2013. This research took place primarily mines located in Yunan Province (1000 miles from Wuhan).

What the research team found

They had been called there to test four outbreak survivors. None of them tested positive for SARS, but all four had antibodies against a different Sars-like coronavirus. The two who had recovered and left the hospital also showed higher levels of antibodies than the two still in the hospital. The research team from Wuhan also found 152 genetic sequences of coronavirus in six bat species located in mine shafts. Two of those were classified as new strains of Sars and labeled RaBtCoV/4991. This strain was found specifically in horseshoe bats. This was a perfect specimen for the grant research objective. 4991 could infect people at high doses and be fatal. They also knew it was not yet transmissible between humans. None of the miners family members became ill.

Experimenting with a perfect specimen

The grant itself specifically calls for Pseudo-viruses to be made for research purposes. These are synthetic viruses used to inject genetic material, including DNA and RNA, with specific and desired traits into bacterial and eukaryotic cells. In other words these are lab-made viruses that can be used to test different variations of another virus. The grant wanted research to use reverse genetics to see what changes to the naturally-occurring virus would make it capable of being more transmissible and infectious to other species.

Exactly one year ago, the Wuhan Institute released a paper showing that the new Covid-19 virus was very similar to one they had taken from Yunnan Province in 2013 (BaTCovTaTG13). This strain is a near complete match to Covid-19 (over 96%) as well as the aforementioned RabtCov/4991 (both taken from Yunnan between 2012 and 2013. That 3% differance is almost entirely in two areas. The parts that pertain to the severity and the transmissibility (Cleavage and Spike receptor site). Guilty Actions

We now know that they placed the country under lock down while still allowing international travel. This created the image of normal life within the country while at the same time trying to prevent the spread within it. We also know that they and the WHO tried to keep the fact that it was transmissible petween humans secret for most of the first quarter of 2020. There is also major evidence that they began hoarding medical supplies while keeping the severity and transmissiblity of Covid 19 secret. Conclusion-

Gain of function research would have been ethical had any new viruses been kept 100% secure in their respective labs. The problem is this. Obama shutting down the program in the United States made it move to another country where we had less oversight. So,if and when the virus got out, there was less accountability or liability on our governement’s part. The Obama administration did the right thing, unfortunately this perspective did not apply worldwide. The coronavirus has been the most destructive world event since World War 2. People need to be held accountable if this virus was super charged by man

Although 9-11 happened 20 years ago, a lingering problem is the general American perspective on the events both before and after that date. The US military response in the middle East was the general equivalent of us having been attacked by a terrorist team from the United Kingdom (Saudi) yet our military had responded by invading Germany and Italy (Afghanistan and Iran). The Wuhan Lab was the pioneering facility on the entire continent for creating and testing man-made viruses. Additionally, the leadership of the Chinese government did everything they could to deflect or mislead the rest of the world as to the origins of the virus. Any scientist who says the virus could not have been made in a lab is either uniformed or more likely lying. The capabilities of a level 4 bio lab range from creating chimera using gene splicing, no isolating populations of animals for the purpose of strengthening desired strains of a natural virus. We now know that grants given to the Wuhan lab specifically focused on the former.
